Proposed Changes to NEPA Requirements

Proposed Changes to NEPA Requirements

For the first time in 40 years, the federal government—via the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ)—is proposing revisions to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). A final draft of the proposed revisions was published in the Federal Register on Friday, January 10, 2020. ESA’s team of NEPA specialists are reviewing the information as it is released to understand how this may affect our clients and projects. We will post updates on this ESA blog about the proposed key changes in NEPA requirements and procedures. Please reach out to us, via the form below or through your ESA Project Manager, with your questions, comments and concerns.

The latest releases from CEQ can be found at the links below. We will continue to update this as new information is released.

Since 1969, ESA has been assisting federal clients with meeting NEPA requirements based on science, policy, and planning. Learn more about our team of specialists and the services we provide.
