Information You Provide to Us

Some of the information, functionality, offerings and/or communications available on or through the Site requires that you provide to us either online or by email your personally identifiable information. You can use the vast majority of the Site without divulging any personally identifiable information to us, and, when personally identifiable information is required or requested, you have the choice to provide this information or to restrict your usage of the Site to those sections that do not require this information.

Employment Application

When applying for employment with ESA through our online application process or an employment agency working on our behalf, applicants are required to provide personally identifiable information including name and email address. The information you provide to us as part of your application will be used to route your application and resume to the correct hiring manager and to contact the references you provide. Resumes and applications will be kept on file indefinitely and will be reviewed periodically by ESA human resources (HR) staff members and hiring managers to determine your suitability for employment.

ESA offers you the option to engage in SMS text conversations about your job application. By participating, you also understand that message frequency may vary depending on the status of your job application, and that message and data rates may apply.  Please consult your carrier for further information on applicable rates and fees. By opting-in to receive SMS text messages about your job application, you acknowledge and agree that your consent data, mobile number, and personal information will be collected and stored solely for the purpose of providing you with updates and information related to your job application. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Email Contact

When you contact us by clicking on the email address of one of the persons listed on our site and sending an email, the email you send will contain your email address and may contain your name, telephone number or other information you provide. We will use this information to reply to your email and may store it and use it to contact you in the future.

ESA Solutions

Clients, vendors and subcontractors opting to use our secure collaborative web environments, ESA Solutions, supply ESA with personally identifiable information that include first and last names and email addresses. This contact data is stored in a secure location and is only shared with project team members.

Technical Support

Access to the ESA online technical support area at assistance@esassoc.com requires users to provide personally identifiable information including name, phone and email address. The personally identifiable information you provide to ESA when you submit a question to our Information Technology (IT) support staff is used to route your question to the support agent best able to provide you assistance and to associate your incident with your company and your incident history.

Automatically Collected Information

Our Site automatically collects the following information related to each visit to the site.


Like many web sites, our Site uses cookies—small text files stored on your computer by your browser. We use cookies so that the Site’s servers can recognize previous visitors and provide a more customized user experience. Accepting cookies on our Site does not give us access to any personal information you have not previously provided to us.

Clear GIFs

We may employ “clear GIFs” (a.k.a. Web Beacons) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our users anonymously. In addition, we may also use clear GIFs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients.

ESA uses the above information to detect and correct errors or problems with its Site, improve the Site’s information and usability, and determine which terms or keywords users use on search engines to find the Site so we can improve its visibility. ESA’s web server logs files and records log-in traffic that may contain personally identifiable information such as first and last names and email addresses when logging into our secure collaborative web environment, ESA Solutions.

Information Collected From Third Parties

We collect information from third-party service providers to help with fraud prevention, security, and network quality efforts. This may include information regarding your use of the Site.

We may use the aggregate or anonymous information we collect about our users, traffic patterns, and related site information for outreach purposes, to better design and administer our Site and/or to share with reputable partners serving a similar mission.

How We Share Your Information

We will share your personal information with our affiliates, business partners, and third-party independent contractors for purposes of: (1) performing functions on behalf of ESA, such as contacting you regarding our services via email or postal mail; and (2) tracking information generated through the Site. Clients opting to use our secure collaborative web environments, ESA Solutions, supply ESA with personal information as described above. These are stored behind a firewall on a database running on a server that is in a secured physical location. Data is submitted using unique password protected user accounts via a Secured Sockets Layered (SSL) 128-bit encryption and is Secure Electronic Transaction compliant.

Despite our reasonable efforts, these measures may not be completely effective against such risks, and by giving us your personal information, you accept such risks.
