Curation & Museum Collections Management

ESA works with land-managing agencies, tribes, museums, and archives to effectively manage, catalog, and preserve cultural items.

We provide methodical, efficient, and tailored solutions, from assisting museums with large-scale traveling exhibits—including Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs—to evaluating federal collections for compliance with 36 CFR Part 79 standards and the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).

We have worked with a variety of collection types, including historical and archaeological, as well as multi-phase project schedules. We regularly assist museums and agencies of all sizes seeking and receiving grant funding from federal, state, and local sources, including the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS). We often collaborate with clients to prepare letters of commitment for grant applications.
