Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce Chris Easter as its new director of Air Quality and Noise for the Northern California region. This role better positions ESA to respond to the growing need for consulting services in Chris’ areas of specialty, including air quality permitting, climate-sustainability strategy, and environmental management systems and regulatory compliance.

“As our local communities continue to grow and increasingly focus on infill and mixed-use development, thoughtfully addressing concerns about air quality and noise pollution are more important than ever,” says Brian Boxer, ESA’s Northern California Regional Director.

Chris will work with our clients to reduce or eliminate air and noise pollution, leading to better business processes and efficiencies, and improving the health of cities and neighborhoods.

Chris brings more than 25 years of experience advising and consulting with organizations in both the private and public sector to help them function at cleaner, more efficient levels by reducing water, energy, and waste in their daily operations. As a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council since 2007, Chris’ new role will leverage ESA’s technical capabilities to make a positive difference for the firm’s clients who are committed to sustainable practices and healthy communities. In addition, Chris is a recognized expert in carbon foot-printing and intensity metrics, and has also been an accredited Lead GHG Verifier for CalEPA’s AB32 Program since 2009.
