Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading environmental consulting firm, is relocating their Oakland office to 180 Grand Avenue, Suite 1050, on the edge of Lake Merritt. The move was prompted by the firm’s commitment to meet the needs of its Bay Area clients and to accommodate its growing team of scientists, engineers, planners, and designers in the East Bay.

“This new, expanded Oakland office space has been a long-awaited addition to our Northern California operations,” says Brian Boxer, ESA’s Northern California Regional Director. “When complete, we will have approximately 40 staff here, with additional room to grow and serve our Bay Area clients.”

A short trip over the bay from ESA’s San Francisco headquarters, the Oakland office will continue to support the ongoing efforts of their diverse clients. ESA has played significant role in pivotal projects in the city, including the Brooklyn Basin Affordable Housing Project, the Lake Merritt Channel Restoration, and the Oakland (Oak Knoll) Naval Medical Station Project. Additional East Bay projects have included the award-winning Richmond Climate Action Plan and the firm’s sustained involvement at the Los Vaqueros Reservoir for Contra Costa Water District.
