Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Leslie Moulton-Post has been appointed ESA’s next Chief Executive Officer and President. Leslie will take over the position from President Gary Oates in the spring of 2016 following a planned transition period.
“Leslie will be ESA’s third CEO in our 46 years of operation, continuing our business culture of stability and steady growth,” said Gary Oates, ESA’s President. “Throughout her more than 30 years with ESA, Leslie has been integral to the firm’s growth and success, leading our largest practice and managing numerous award-winning and complex projects. She has effectively handled various corporate leadership responsibilities over the years, including a recent lead role in developing and articulating the Company’s recent update of its five-year Strategic Plan. I am delighted to pass the torch to Leslie, who I know will be a talented, thoughtful, and visionary leader who will take the firm and its employee-owners to ever greater heights.”
ESA’s Board of Directors approved the succession plan for executive management of the Company on November 20, 2015 following a rigorous planning and selection process. “ESA’s Board is responsible for ensuring the continuity of the Company’s senior leadership and making sure the executive team possesses the experience, perspective, skills and character to lead the firm into its next chapter,” said Molly Adolfson, member of ESA’s Board of Directors and Selection-Committee Chair. “With today’s announcement, we begin a seamless transition to a proven leader in Leslie.”
“I am honored to have been chosen by the Board to lead ESA into our next era,” said Leslie. “ESA’s commitment to client service, technical excellence, and strategic vision has established us as a leader in environmental planning and restoration design. I look forward to working with our executive team and our employees as we tackle the future environmental challenges facing our clients and communities.”
Leslie will continue her client and project involvement and her role as leader of ESA’s California Water Practice throughout the transition period. Gary will continue to lead the company and assist in transitioning Leslie over the next four to six months, after which time he will continue his involvement with key clients and projects.
