Damien Kunz is a hydrologist with 15 years of experience specializing in field data collection, analysis, and quality control. He has a strong background leading and working on projects that deal with oceanographic, coastal, estuarine, and fluvial hydrology, working on both large-scale and small-scale projects ranging from deep water ocean all the way up to streams and rivers of the high alpine.
Damien’s experience at ESA includes topographic and bathymetric surveying, water level, current, discharge, and wave monitoring, sediment transport and sampling studies, water quality monitoring and testing, drone-based data collection, numerical and spatial analysis, QA/QC, and project management. Damien also has prior experience in oceanography, participating in multiple research projects and cruises while concentrating primarily on ocean dynamics, water quality, sediment transport, and instrument design.
