As a Principal Urban Planner, Shannon collaborates with clients and partners managing the preparation of climate plans, general plans, specific plans, housing elements, and downtown plans. She has 18 years of experience as an urban planning specializing in overseeing long-range planning documents as well as complex land use entitlement projects. She has extensive knowledge of climate change, environmental justice and housing regulation as it relates to both planning requirements and funding opportunities for disadvantaged communities.
Shannon holds a Master of Arts in Urban Planning and Design from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Spanish from Brigham Young University. She is also a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and the American Society of Adaptation Professionals (ASAP).
