During National Engineers Week—which was founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1951 to ensure a diverse and well-educated future for the engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers—we want to recognize each of the nearly 50 engineers at ESA who have made a positive impact on the world around us. Our pioneering team uses nature as its guide to improve resilience and provide multi-benefit solutions for our clients. Meet a handful of our engineers and find out more about our growing team below.
Tiffany Cheng, PE
Coastal Engineer
Tiffany is a coastal engineer with a focus on integrating natural systems and living shorelines into climate change adaptation and coastal restoration projects. Tiffany was a key author of the report, Natural Shoreline Infrastructure: Technical Guidance for the California Coast, produced for The Nature Conservancy (TNC), as part the CA 4th Climate Assessment. She is passionate about the resilience of coastal communities and how we can take best practices from large-scale coastal projects around the world and innovate towards our needs.

Mark Lindley, PE
Water Resources Engineer
Mark is a water resources engineer who has been leading the design of many of ESA’s wetland restoration projects in Northern California over the past 10+ years. Mark is passionate about working with ecologists and biologists to better understand what makes the native flora and fauna within wetland systems thrive and working with geomorphologists to better understand the natural processes that drive the evolution restored wetlands to develop successful restoration designs.
