Craig Tyler’s 25-year career as a marketer for professional services began in an atypical fashion, thanks to an American History degree from the University of Puget Sound.
What began as a passion for the past led Craig to the Washington State Historical Society, expanded to include connections with local preservation architects, and culminated in a career switch to work in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry in 1999.
After decades working in the built environment with architects and general contractors, Craig has made another move to join ESA and work in the environmental consulting realm.
“One of the things that drew me to ESA is the work we do and the projects we work on, and the impact we have on the communities around them,” Craig explains. “I think when you have the ability to make a direct impact like that, it makes for a much more rewarding experience.”
ESA is pleased to welcome Craig as our Marketing Director for the Northwest Region, where he will lead the tracking, strategy, and delivery of ESA’s efforts to win new work with both new and existing clients. Craig will leverage his expertise in marketing and business development in support of the region’s growth across all ESA’s markets, including community development, natural resources management, water, energy, surface transportation and ports, and airports.
“We are so fortunate to have Craig come on board to lead our regional marketing team,” said Stacy Bumback, Northwest Regional Director. “We are seeing unprecedented growth in the region, and with Craig’s leadership and experience we will continue our efforts to streamline and strengthen our marketing operations, procedures, and strategy for sustained growth and success.”
