As vice president and Community Development Practice Leader, Terri partners with our in-house experts and clients as we tackle challenges including smart growth, climate change, and aging infrastructure. Her experience integrates environmental planning and documentation, community planning, and project development to result in improved projects, informed policy decisions, and collaborative public involvement processes, better shaping the communities where we live and work.
Terri brings more than 30 years of experience in environmental consulting and natural resource planning. She is a natural leader who is committed to building a team environment while remaining focused on delivering high-quality work products that meet each client’s unique schedule and budget expectations. Terri’s award-winning experience includes many of California’s most notable CEQA, natural resources, transportation, and permitting projects. She has completed numerous environmental documents throughout the state, from communities in Orange and Los Angeles counties to the Central Valley, and beyond. Her diverse clients include the cities of San Francisco, American Canyon, Pasadena, Huntington Beach, and Santa Ana, and the County of Madera; the State Coastal Conservancy; private developers, such as Caruso Affiliated and Lennar Urban; and transportation agencies, such as the Los Angeles Metropolitan Agency and the United Kingdom Department of Transport. Her notable projects include the Candlestick Point-Hunters Point Shipyard Phase II Development Plan EIR, the Shops at Santa Anita Park EIR, and the Ballona Wetlands Restoration Plan EIS/EIR.
Terri has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Math from Hood College, with a minor in Statistics and Sociology, and she received certification from the University of California, Berkeley, in transportation planning and from the Federal Highway Administration in urban mass transit principles. She is also a member of the Association of Environmental Professionals, American Planning Association, Southern California Water Committee, and Society of Wetland Scientists.
