Scott Holbrook is a Principal Ecologist at ESA and an active member of the Society of Ecological Restoration (SER). Drawing from 30 years of experience, Scott is a leading practitioner in planning and implementing innovative, cost-effective ecological restoration programs. His work includes all facets of habitat restoration including surface contouring, hydrological modifications, soil amendments, seeding, planting, pest control, maintenance, monitoring, stakeholder outreach, and agency coordination. His plans have included restoration of coastal sage scrub, oak woodland, scrub oak, salt and freshwater wetlands, as well as numerous riparian habitat projects.
Scott’s experience with invasive species eradication and vegetation management involves dozens of projects that required weed management and controls using a wide variety of different herbicide applications, machines and manual control methods, and also solarization and biological controls.
