Paul Bergman is the Northern California Fish and Aquatic Science Program Manager. He leads a team of fish and aquatic science experts helping solve critical issues facing California’s aquatic environments.

Paul has more than 15 years of experience as an accomplished scientist/project manager researching fisheries in California’s Central Valley. He has a strong quantitative background in population dynamics and extensive experience managing and leading a wide range of projects, from large-scale field investigations of fish survival, to complex Endangered Species Act consultations, to development of data management and visualization solutions to support aquatic resources management.

He is committed to providing technically sound and cutting-edge solutions to aquatic resources investigations and understands the importance of consistent communication and careful listening with clients and partners to achieve environmental goals. Paul leads a team of experts that create an atmosphere of open engagement with our clients to foster a shared vision for project success.

Paul earned a Master of Science degree in Fisheries and a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries and Limnology, and Biology, all from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He is also a member of the American Fisheries Society.
