As the Northern California Energy Director, Mike leads a team focused on NEPA, CEQA, and siting for energy infrastructure. His energy project work includes project management and resource analysis for the siting and analysis of wind, geothermal, solar, and substation and transmission line projects.
Mike has almost 25 years of experience specializing in land management planning, energy and water infrastructure, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) analysis, and biological resource investigations. His technical experience includes federal land management, renewable energy and transmission, wild and scenic river studies, terrestrial and aquatic resource assessments, and biological monitoring and mitigation.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Cornell University and is one of ESA’s project management instructors.
