Matthew Silva is a fisheries biologist. His experience in the field coupled with solid technical skills allow him to oversee the implementation of large scale fisheries research efforts as a field lead and project manager.
Matt has over eight years of experience in laboratory work and procedures; scientific and technical writing; the use of global positioning systems, geographic information systems including ArcMap; and fish handling and tagging techniques. His academic background includes studies in freshwater ecology, fisheries biology, ichthyology, fisheries management, hydrology, limnology, aquatic entomology, genetics/electrophoresis, and statistics.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Freshwater Fisheries Biology from Humboldt State University. He is also a member of the American Fisheries Society.
