Matthew is a registered landscape architect with over seventeen years of experience providing collaborative design, planning, and management services to a wide range of public, institutional, and private clients in Oregon, Washington and California. As a landscape architect and project director in ESA’s northwest region, Matthew works on a variety of project types across a wide range of scales. He strives to ingrain core values of sustainability, ecological responsibility and community enhancement in his work.
Matthew’s design and communication skills have supported the development of many transformational regional park, waterfront, trail, restoration, and campus projects. He is passionate about context-appropriate design and enjoys projects that present opportunities to restore degraded landscapes and investigate complex design conditions.
Matthew holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley. He is a Professional Landscape Architect in Oregon and Washington and a proud member of the Northwest Trail Alliance.
