As a Principal Coastal Engineer, Louis works on complex, multi-objective projects located in coastal and estuarine environments. A licensed civil engineer with a master’s degree in Ocean Engineering, Louis’ leadership and experience have been instrumental in the success of several major coastal restoration and climate change adaptation projects.
For 15 years, Louis has provided expert guidance in coastal engineering and geomorphology, engineering design, project alternative assessment and development, wave runup analysis, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, field data collection, and sea-level rise adaptation planning. By combining his technical expertise with an understanding of the regulatory and environmental processes, Louis helps clients navigate projects through key stages of planning, permitting, design, and implementation.
Louis holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental resources engineering from Humboldt State University and a Master of Science in ocean engineering from the College of Marine and Earth Studies at the University of Delaware.
