With a career spanning over 26 years, Dan is a seasoned and skilled cultural resources specialist, driven by a passion for people and project management, client support, and stakeholder engagement. Supporting both private and public clients, Dan’s specializations in historic archaeology, prehistoric lithics/groundstone, as well as paleo landscapes demonstrates his technical expertise, allowing him to contribute successfully to complex CEQA and NEPA environmental documents.
Servicing a diverse clientele across the energy, communications, and transportation sectors, Dan has played integral roles in overseeing monumental projects across California. As a valued member of various oversight teams, he oversaw technical compliance on landmark endeavors such as the California High-Speed Rail Project and LARICS’ Land Mobile Radio initiative. Notably, his contributions extended to large, complex projects like the Barren Ridge Renewable Transmission Project (BRRTP) for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Pipeline Safety Enhancement Plan (PSEP) for The Southern California Gas Company.
As the Southern California Cultural Resources Business Group Director, Dan leads a team of 40+ archaeologists, historians, architectural historians, and paleontologists in performance and operations within the region. His credentials include registrations as a Professional Archaeologist (RPA), Principal Investigator on statewide BLM permits across California, Utah, and Nevada, and active participation in esteemed organizations such as the Society for California Archaeology and the Society for American Archaeology.
