As a director and fluvial geomorphologist at ESA, Andy leads and supports projects where there is an overlap between river-shaping processes, hydrology and ecology.

Andy has over 25 years of experience as a geomorphologist and hydrologist working on channel erosion, river and wetland restoration, flood management and ecological flow management projects. He developed the conceptual design for the Napa River restoration project and is a technical advisor on numerous regional planning projects including the LA River E-Flow project, Resilient Silicon Valley, and the Santa Clara Valley One Water project.

Andy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Hydrology and Geomorphology from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University College London.
