Amy Reed is a Senior Aviation NEPA Specialist with 18 years of experience in aviation environmental compliance, wildlife management, and wetland permitting. With her extensive regulatory and federal experience, she provides deep expertise in FAA NEPA complianceand guides airport clients through complex environmental processes.

Prior to joining ESA, Amy served for five years as an Environmental Protection Specialist with the FAA’s Orlando Airports District Office. In this role, Amy advised FAA staff and aviation industry professionals to ensure airport development projects complied with NEPA.  This included preparing and reviewing policy and procedural requirementsassociated with historic resources, endangered species, wetlands, noise, air and water quality, and floodplain management.

Amy also specializes in airport wildlife management across the United States and internationally. As a Certified Wildlife Biologist and Qualified Airport Wildlife Biologist, she has conducted and developed Wildlife Hazard Assessments, Wildlife Hazard Management Plans, and wildlife management training programs for 14 CFR Part 139 certificated and general aviation airports. She has supported more than 20 civilian airports across eight states, including Hawaii.

In addition, Amy has completed more than 60 Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) site visits for the Air National Guard and is highly familiar with U.S. Air Force BASH programs. She also contributed to the New Mexico City International Airport project while working in Mexico City for two years, further broadening her international aviation experience.
