As a civil and water resources engineer, Hunter provides conceptual design through construction phase services for numerous water and natural resource projects. With extensive field experience he is able to inform and make site-specific solutions that are responsive to hydraulic and geomorphic dynamics.
With over 13 years of experience, Hunter has designed a variety of habitat restoration and bank stabilization projects ranging from large-scale tidal wetland restoration projects to more focused fish passage improvements and bank stabilization measures. He has expertise in natural systems design and experience designing large wood habitat structures and bioengineered bank treatments to support floodplain, wetland, and riparian restoration projects.
Hunter holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Purdue University. He is also a part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Environmental and Water Resources Interest Group (EWRG).
