As a Project Manager, Selena brings more than 18 years of experience in environmental review, land use planning, permitting, and climate resilience. She manages complex energy, infrastructure, and community planning projects, working collaboratively to navigate complex regulatory requirements and develop practical solutions.
Selena has extensive experience with CEQA and NEPA review and permitting for renewable energy, battery energy storage, utility infrastructure projects, and state/federal actions throughout California and the western United States. She also specializes in coastal and land-use planning and climate adaptation, including sea-level rise resilience strategies, Local Coastal Program and General Plan amendments, and ordinance amendments. Her public-sector background includes more than 10 years of experience with long-range planning, development permitting, climate planning, housing, energy, and greenhouse gas reduction programs.
Selena holds a Master of Planning from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Otterbein University in Ohio. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and the Association of Environmental Professionals, and is on the Executive Board of her local APA chapter.
