What is your favorite ESA moment/memory so far?
Reaching my 10-year milestone has been one of my favorite moments. It’s given me the opportunity to reflect on how much I’ve learned and how far I’ve come over the years.
What does it mean to you to be part of an employee-owned company?
Being an employee owner means having a shared stake in the company’s success and taking pride in contributing to something we collectively build and sustain.
What keeps you coming to work here at ESA every day?
The people I work with and the shared sense of responsibility that comes with being employee-owned keep me coming back every day.
What is your hidden or special talent(s)?
Lindy Hop swing and rockabilly jive dancing — especially dancing to live music. It’s a creative outlet that keeps me energized outside of work.
What’s your favorite thing to do when you are out of the office?
Outside the office, I enjoy dancing to live music, going on scenic drives with my EV club, and unwinding with a good crime documentary.
If you had one free hour each day, how would you use it?
I’d use it to step away from my desk — whether that’s running a quick errand, taking a mindful lunch, or doing some light stretching — so I can reset and come back refreshed for the rest of the day.
In a nutshell, what kind of work does your team do?
Our team supports internal clients by coordinating proposals, managing CRM data, and helping teams track pursuits and pipeline. Ultimately, we help ensure leadership has the information needed to make informed, strategic decisions.
Describe your role at ESA and the type of work you do.
As Marketing Director, I oversee a regional marketing team and act as a liaison between firmwide leadership and our local group. My role focuses on guiding processes, supporting my team’s development, and ensuring our internal clients receive consistent, high-quality marketing support.
What’s been your favorite project to work on here at ESA and what impact did it have on the community and/or environment?
One of my favorite projects to work on was the Carpinteria Surfliner Inn proposal. It was exciting to support a coastal project that encourages tourism while thoughtfully protecting the surrounding coastline, bluffs, and sensitive environmental areas. Being part of a pursuit that balanced development with environmental stewardship made the work especially meaningful. I had just returned from an SMPS conference and was able to bring fresh ideas into the proposal, which helped shape a strong, well-received submission.
Have you had the opportunity to work on any career-defining projects?
While my work is primarily on the pursuit side rather than project delivery, contributing to CRM process improvements and ongoing refinements has been career-defining for me. Having the opportunity to provide feedback, help shape systems, and know that my perspective is heard has been an important part of my growth at ESA and continues to inform how I support firm-wide processes in my current role.
