She leverages strong leadership and industry expertise to foster long-term partnerships and lead successful business development efforts across the region.

Vanessa brings extensive experience in environmental policy, permitting, and compliance with the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), State Environmental Protection Act (SEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and other regulatory frameworks across a wide range of sectors. Her expertise spans energy projects including offshore wind, transmission lines, hydroelectric, solar energy, as well as mining, oil and gas, transportation, infrastructure, and water/wastewater projects. She has successfully navigated the complexities of federal, state, and local environmental permitting, ensuring compliance with critical regulations such as the Clean Water Act for major development projects.

Throughout her career, Vanessa has managed all aspects of environmental compliance and permitting for multi-million-dollar design and construction projects, with budgets ranging from under $1 million to over $200 million. She has a proven record of engineering actionable solutions to meet deadlines, maintain schedules, and keep projects within budget. Her work has involved building strong relationships with Federal, State, Local, and Tribal partners, leading to more efficient approval processes.

Vanessa’s experience includes working with major industry leaders like BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Chevron, Apache Energy, and NextEra Energy, as well as for many federal agencies including the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), Department of the Interior (DOI), United States Forest Service (USFS), and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Her expertise spans the United States, Oceania, and the Caribbean.
