Kelley is an environmental planner and hydrologist with over 10 years of experience working on complex water resource projects in academic research, extension outreach, environmental consulting and federal agency settings. Kelley contributes to multi-disciplinary teams by strategizing CEQA/NEPA compliance, conducting site-specific studies of surface and groundwater availability, and integrating climate and hydrologic modeling into environmental documents. She is involved with projects that span a range of topics including but not limited to water resource management, groundwater sustainability, water reuse, renewable energy, and climate resilience.
Kelley earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Hydrology and Master of Science in Hydrogeology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Loyola University Chicago. In between her graduate studies, she awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to research climate policy at Stockholm University in Sweden. Kelley has published numerous peer reviewed journal articles and extension outreach publications on climate change and water resource topics.
