Ramona Swenson, PhD
As senior Restoration Ecology Program Manager, Ramona manages restoration and permitting staff, oversees development of restoration and rehabilitation plans, and works with agencies and stakeholders to develop adaptive management solutions for ecosystem restoration and water resource management.
Ramona has over 24 years of expertise encompassing water resources, aquatic ecology, fisheries, habitat restoration, adaptive management, water policy, and conservation planning. She has extensive experience with ecosystem restoration in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, and the application of adaptive management for restoration and land management, effectiveness monitoring, and research. She is a recognized expert on the tidewater goby, a federal endangered species of estuarine fish.
Ramona holds a Doctor of Philosophy in integrative biology from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Swarthmore College, PA. She is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner and has served as President of the American Fisheries Society California-Nevada Chapter.
