As ESA’s Southern California Community Planning Program Manager and Principal Planner, Shane leads our diverse, talented interdisciplinary experts to provide policy, urban design, public engagement, and economic development planning as part of the services we provide to our clients.
Shane brings more than 22 years of experience and a passion for helping communities build opportunity for all. He has molded his expertise in economic development, public engagement, strategic planning, and urban design to help communities develop award-winning holistic and inspiring visions and plans that have resulted in revitalized downtowns, neighborhoods, and communities.
Shane earned a Bachelor of Urban Planning and Development degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design and Political Science, both from Ball State University. He was on the national board of directors for the American Planning Association in 2016–2017, currently serves as past chair of APA’s Chapter President’s Council, serves on the California APA Board of Directors as Awards Coordinator, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
