John Bourgeois

As Restoration Ecology Program Manager, John is working to grow and integrate ESA’s already extensive biological resources staff with other practice groups such as hydrology and planning to deepen the firm’s ability to contribute meaningfully to complex habitat restoration projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

John has more than 23 years of experience and specializes in the management of complex multidisciplinary projects. He has worked in a variety of ecological and cultural settings, from the central Pacific to areas throughout the Gulf Coast, and has spent the past 20 years working on projects in San Francisco Bay and other California coastal areas.

John earned a Master of Science degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecological, Evolutionary and Organismal Biology from Tulane University.
