Paragon Research Associates Joins ESA
Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Paragon Research Associates (Paragon), a Seattle-based cultural resource management, curatorial and collections management consulting firm, has joined ESA. The addition of Paragon’s principal, Paula Johnson, and her staff of archeologists and curation specialists, supports ESA’s strategy to deepen technical services in cultural resources throughout the West. Paragon joins cultural resources specialists throughout the firm’s west coast offices offering archeology, marine archeology and historical resource management expertise.
"Paula’s team is well known in the Pacific Northwest for delivering high quality work products within budget and on time. We have successfully worked with Paragon for more than a decade and it made sense for the team to join us at this time. Their addition elevates our ability to provide in-house cultural resources products and solutions several notches above the rest of the field," says ESA’s Senior Vice President, Molly Adolfson.
"As our new Northwest Cultural Resources Director, Paula’s technical leadership and expert problem solving capabilities will benefit our local staff and clients,” says Lloyd Skinner, Director of ESA’s Northwest Region. “She’ll be an excellent addition to our leadership team.”
Paula Johnson founded Paragon Resource Associates in 1998 to conduct archaeological studies and research, as well as museum curation management. Trained in archaeology, geoarchaeology, historic preservation, and museology, Paragon provides cultural resource management and curation management services to a variety of tribes, private and public clients throughout Washington. Paragon provides documentation of historic structures, National Register of Historic Places evaluations and nominations, and land use histories, monitoring for construction projects, field surveys, excavation, reporting, and evaluation.
