As president and chairman of the board of directors, Gary works in tandem with internal and external leadership to allocate resources, monitor company performance, and oversee contract compliance while charting the future. Guiding the firm's strategic direction, he's committed to using our core values as the touchstone for business decisions, and working daily to achieve our five-year vision as a leading solutions-oriented environmental science and planning firm.

A CEQA/NEPA expert with nearly three decades of experience at ESA, Gary specializes in tiered environmental documentation and regulatory permitting strategies for a variety of clients. He has managed many of the firm's most complex and controversial waterfront development projects for clients ranging from the Port of San Francisco to the U.S. Navy.

Gary holds a Master of Arts in biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in zoology from the University of Rhode Island. He is a member and past president of the Association of Environmental Professionals.
